Proficienzy is an English language learning application that provides lessons, quizzes, speaking practice, vocabulary flashcards, and AI-powered coaching. The service is provided free of charge at launch.
To use Proficienzy, you must: • Be at least 13 years of age • Provide a valid email address • Create a secure password • Provide accurate and truthful information You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and all activity that occurs under it.
You agree not to: • Use the app for any unlawful purpose • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems • Upload harmful, offensive, or misleading content • Reverse engineer or copy any part of the app • Use automated tools to scrape or interact with the app • Impersonate other users or Proficienzy staff
All content in Proficienzy, including lessons, audio, graphics, logos, and software, is owned by or licensed to Proficienzy. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.
When you use speaking or writing features, you grant Proficienzy a limited licence to process that content solely for the purpose of providing feedback. We do not claim ownership of your content and do not store voice recordings after processing.
Proficienzy is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the app will be available at all times or that it will be free of errors. Language learning results depend on individual effort and practice.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Proficienzy shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including loss of data or learning progress.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of Proficienzy at any time. We will endeavour to provide reasonable notice of significant changes.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms of Service. You may also delete your account at any time from the app settings. Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days.
These Terms are governed by applicable law. Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation before pursuing formal legal action.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or in-app notification. Continued use of Proficienzy after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
